Re: What comes after a DA40?

Aaargh Corona messed up my maintenance plans. Annual should have been completed by now... If this monster does not go away soon, a permit to fly the aircraft to maintenance will be needed in May! Yesterday my GF and myself went to Geneva International Airport where Galatea is based. The GA entrance ...

Love the DA-20, most beautiful Diamond! Look at how graceful the wing roots are

Re: GTX 345R AHRS via Bluetooth?

Strange... my FS210 works perfectly. Attitude, heading, everything is perfect. It is true that GPS derived ground speed is not very useful and even potentially dangerous if not understood for what it is, but the altitude indication of a WAAS GPS is more useful and accurate by design than the primiti...

Re: The grass isn't always greener...

I really like the DA20-C1. Do you actually see the 130 KTAS Diamond promise? This is only 10% less than a DA40 and more than most higher powered metal aircraft out there. Climb rate also great. And it is beau-ti-ful. Here a possible upgrade at low-ish cost: 8K plus install GNX375: GPS + COMM + ADSB ...

Good bye Brock, having downgraded to a distant cousin myself, I will let another person extend the invitation to stay around the family...
Your contribution was invaluable and I wish you well.

Re: Lac La Biche Fly In 2020

This must have been wonderful, Lou! I would love the experience. I do have a question for you: how did you manage the cross wind with such low adherence? I am asking because I recently took off from a wet runway with 20G26 crosswind and it was really borderline: the plane was skidding away and it wa...

More videos! One from Galatea 6RMldWDZVoI And another that was shot in 1997. Image quality is bad, but hang on! Walter "da man" himself doing full blown aerobatics in an Extra 400 ?!? D-EGEL is unknown to me. It has a different cooling system so it could be the first prototype. pw3yQoDnK74

Re: What comes after a DA40?

After being grounded for 6 weeks due to UPS losing the prop governor - I ended-up buying a new one - Galatea is back in the air.
there was some interesting WX lately so we went for a ride on the wild side!

Enjoy!
