I remember my glider flying .....up to 6 hrs x-country flights .... no possibility to land .... needed all the concentration to stay in the thermals .. and coming home. Then it was a MUST. On my DG100: wing level, stick slightly fwd (IAS 110) to get space for the bag  … finally bag out of the small...

As I do not have the possibility take a log file with my classic instrument layout ... here the pic from my last cruise over the alps in Austria. Full throttle , 2400, FL140
I keep CHT always below 400 ... It's never an issue in our environment, home airport 1470ft.

Bob, I use an electric TugMaxxe for the D40 since 8 years. It seems that your plane is in good hands with Matjaž of AeroService Lesce. I met him in August and thinking of bringing my DA40 to them for some necessary work.
I Would be interested in your opinion about the quality of the company.

You folks in the US are lucky ….. here in Europe we have to calculate the double …. 1 USG Avgas costs 8.5 USD - taxes / insurance / maintenance ….. all is much higher
