Tim, Sounds like the Starter itsef is the trouble maker. Had the same a few years ago, it happens allways away from homebase. I had to replace the starter. (it was on a C172 then).
Good luck. Thomas

Re: Nice to join, from remote Poland
Bart, a bit late, but also HI from Switzerland. If you planning a trip to Switzerland, let me know, we at LSZC have also an AVGAS problem. But I can organize something if needed from a neighbour field.

Here are finally the Pics. I love the Aera. With the automotive mode, you can use it in the rental car after the flight too.

Re: Updated DA-40 AD for passenger door retaining bracket. 1
Hi Robin,
this bracket is a weak piont. When opening the door, it should be held by hand till it is fully open. Specialy in windy conditions. After the flight, I allways open it myself and tell the Passengers in the back to wait till I open it from outside.

I mounted my 500 same way as Lance but in the middle. The park brake lever and the heating levers are a bit hidden, but this doesen't matter. Will post some pics next time when flying.

But as far a I know it is also possible to bring a G1000 and a Sens 2 blade prop version into EASA. Do you intend to bring yours to the HB register? we can discuss th...
