Hi Antoine, Norwich is also on my "to go list" actually Seething Airfield, EGSJ, that's next to our friend bed and breakfast house, Chedgrave House, June and Alan Paine.
This airport is very friendly and GA minded, much better choice than Norwich.
regards Thomas. Buochs

Re: How much should I pay for a DA40 battery?
Hi , I agree with Rick, just replaced mine, RG24-15M .... Same price in EUR. Did it myself. No big deal.
After 4-5 y its a good idea to replace the batt. Specially if you flying to places without the poss to get GND power.

Hi Antione,
I did the "popcorn SB" with the anual in 2010, (MAS Leutkirch) it was not more the 200 EUR. incl work. Its is not completly solved, but much better since.

So it will be a new DA42 model, not the DA52 ... also a new twin in FDH. Thomas

Re: Synthetic Vision iPad
I have a Pilatus PC12 pilot friend here on our airport (in the swiss alps). He has the IPAD APP airnav pro in use with the synthetic vision. According to him, it is very accurate (with the internals sensor - no AHRS). I am sure it is accurate and it seems very reliable, but think about – it is not c...

Re: Garmin 796
Lance, suggest you are flying a EFIS -400 Jumbo or is it a classic. (It was called classic these days). Steam or G1000 DA40; I had also to make this decision 3 years ago. A friend of mine, retired MD11 Cmdr gave me the good advice to go for a low hour steam one. I am so happy now, anyway in the Euro...

How you use the Towbot with the fairing at the nose gear? We do have one as well but it is not fitting the DA40 nose wheel. In fact I never tried. Thomas

Re: DA40 directional gyro
I had the same some time ago, "Heading Flag" on. I was doing some t/s and finally found only the plug to the HSI loose. No problem since then. Did you check that out.
