Re: NXi features

There is also a FlightStream 110/210 hardware "dongle" that can be installed behind the panel of "legacy" G1000 flight decks that will stream Bluetooth ADS-B In traffic and weather (from a GTX345R) to iPads running Garmin Pilot or Foreflight. For NXI, the Flightstream 510 card will be a better solu...

Re: Tiedown for DA40

Hi Kyle, No regrets, i am very happy with them. They have never slacked up on me. I know what you are saying about the length. I have had to daisy chain off an existing rope or knot a few times, but it has always worked out. Just as often I have had to shorten them with a quick overhand or figure ei...

Re: Front Wheel Pant Protector

I think I saw it elsewhere but picture, price, and installation details would be great.

Re: GTX 345R Bluetooth

Latest development: My shop spent two weeks going back and forth with Garmin (factory rep). Garmin referenced a problem in which a customer had an aircraft cover sitting in the back seat and removing it fixed the connectivity issue. They offered nothing else - but in a vindictive twist - they told m...

Re: G1000 HDG / Traffic Fail

OK, just to satisfy my OCD tendencies I re-did the magnetometer calibration with ALT and Avionics on. 2 flights last weekend (~2.5 hours of mixed flying) and no issues. I will post here if I lose my HDG again.

Re: G1000 HDG / Traffic Fail

Thank you everyone for the comments and thank you Rick for the procedure. I went through it successfully just now but clouds too low to take her for a spin. One thing I noticed I forgot and turned on my ALT switch part way through the procedure. I never turned on the Avionics switch. I could see eit...

G1000 HDG / Traffic Fail

Saw some similar old posts but I am opening a new thread - About 2/3 into a 45 minute local flight (VFR winds calm) I suddenly lost HDG/Traffic/Wind/GS. Pics below (sorry about the blurry MFD) Upon landing and pulling off onto the taxiway, I noticed everything was normal again. I have 6 flights ~9 H...

Re: GTX 345R Bluetooth

Was told by Garmin Tech Support that the Flight Stream 110 is not compatible with the GTX 345 and that I should get the 210. Doesn't really jibe with Grant's experience so go figure.

Re: GTX 345R Bluetooth

My newly installed GTX 345R has weak Bluetooth as well. (G1000 WAAS) I am going to ask the avionics shop to install a Flight Stream. I will ask for price considerations for the unit and installation costs. Question - Should I ask for a 110 or a 210? Garmin description says that the 210 supplies AHRS...

Re: ADS-B Install Experience

There is data from Diamond on doing a repair to the composite but with a repair there are no holes left behind! The US has other means to accomplish things like this too with Field Approvals and 8110 structural approvals etc that help the process. I believe somebody installed at GPS/NAV/COM combo u...
