Re: Diamond Owners Being Taken Advantage Of - Maintenance

But most importantly, we are very aware that every customer represents a review - and people prefer to complain than to praise in them. In my industry, the business model has changed. You're right, unfortunately people more often complain than praise good service. However, that doesn't mean we shou...

It's on the list of the topics that will be discussed.

Re: The G1000 project - "The next step"

One comment I'd like to make on the September 2019 letter and the related agenda item: the ability to have such work done at workshops other than London and Vienna is essential. It's not just a matter of travel cost and convenience. For me, it's a show-stopper. The return trip to Neustast is well o...

Re: The G1000 project - "The next step"

A concern that I had expressed, namely Garmin's outright refusal to take in GIA63W LRUs that I had purchased on the used market, and for which I was perfectly willing to pay Garmin to bench test and make any required repairs, does not appear on the agenda. Given the fact that any of us who need tho...

Re: The G1000 project - "The next step"

Thanks a lot to all those involved in this great initiative ! Three questions : 1) will DAI Austrian management be involved as well? 2) @TwinStarScott, is there an alternative way to add aircrafts on your list? I fell we could add many more European aircrafts on the list, but it would be easier if ...

Re: The G1000 project - "The next step"

That's really odd story but it reflects today's situation and bad sides of monopoly position. Being pilot myself for 35+ years I can only confirm that such things didn't happen in the past. Since a meeting will be held in near future between DAI, Garmin and few participants of this forum, this issue...

Re: What to look for when purchasing used DA-42?

What’s the cost to replace 135 at TBR (2100) with same 135’s and cost to replace 155’s with new 155’s? Im hope the cost is much lower compared to initial upgrade since you don’t have to redo the mounts, etc... Quickly learning these airplane have some pretty expensive upgrades. Replacing CD-135 (an...
