Re: Garmin 345R ADS-B installation

Barry, Thanks for the extra info. I see you had your installation done in Denver. I'm in Boston so that's a bit inconvenient. But, I would consider making the trip as I imagine this installation is a royal pain, and I'd really like to have it done somewhere that has done it before. Dave, thanks for ...

Re: Garmin 345R ADS-B installation

It's good to know there is an example of a non-WAAS G1000 with XM weather installation of a GTX335R that worked. Has anyone successfully got a TAS600 to work also after the GTX335R installation on a non-WAAS G1000? I know there is a debate over which is better, TAS600 vs ADSB traffic, but I'd like t...

Re: Garmin 345R ADS-B installation

I've been following the ADSB saga for some time. My plan was to hold out until the easy, elegant, inexpensive solution became available. Re: ADS-B Install Experience

I'm considering waiting until December 2019 to look into this, in the hope that there will be a clear solution to the problem by then. Seems like a mess right now. DA40, G1000, non WAAS, XM Weather, TAS600.

Re: First Aircraft and Post

Congrats! Compared to the C172, you definitely made the right choice! Now you'll get to learn how to fly an airplane and how to own an airplane at the same time. They should give you two ceritficates for that.
