Re: Annual frustration

If you perform MSB 40-074 (which is an AD) the aft spar reinforcement you can greatly extend the MSI intervals.... By further testing and investigation it was discovered that the fatigue strength of the aft main spar in the cabin area does not ensure unlimited lifetime. This Service Bulletin prescri...

Re: DA40 mixture or throttle cable

Wow - I cannot believe that a DA40-180 has to be AOG for up to 14 months for just a throttle or mixture cable.

SW loader card for owners as backup

Hi Does anyone know if the owner of a G1000 aircraft is supposed to be able to request a loader card with the software and config files for their airplane as an emergency backup - or does it depend upon the relationship with your shop? I had thought only the NGs had it as part of the type certificate and all the -180s had it as an STC, maybe I'm wrong there.
Just check your logbook - you maybe correct. I know my 2004 is because of this...

Re: Thoughts on a 2004/2005 DA-40

I have a 2004 upgraded to WAAS - worthy upgrade. The 2004-2006 had the G1000 installed via STC - they were essentially a steam gauge plane but G1000 installed under STC. That means if we get to a true dead end you can remove the entire G1000 and start over from a blank panel as long as you use thing...

Re: WAAS upgrade woes

Very happy for your good news - it can be a trying experience to upgrade - but it is worth it!
