My sincere apologies for the past DA-20 thread

To Kai and the board members I do apologize. I did not realize my inquiry about what mechanical or inspection issues to look for when purchasing a DA-20 was close enough to an offer or a solicitation of an offer to be of concern to Kai. I was aware of the rule against making offers to purchase or se...

Re: I may have found a very nice DA-20

Hi Colin, It was great to hear from you and know that you are still part of the flock. Kathy and I have one other aircraft we may use instead for the trip. You can see it at http://www.affordableaircraftforsale.com/otherairplane/tiger-ag5b/ If we find a nice DA-20 we may someday sell the 03 Tiger. I...

Re: I may have found a very nice DA-20

Hi Robert, Very good thought and I actually had a DA-40 for a couple of years. It is indeed a great airplane. The DA-20 will also be used to teach some family members how to fly, thus the selection of the DA-20. Otherwise, you are right that the 40 might be a better choice. Thanks and your thought i...

I may have found a very nice DA-20

Good afternoon everyone, For some time I have been looking for a nice DA-20 for a retirement airplane. My pilot wife and I plan to do the grand tour of the U.S. in it and enjoy the adventure. I wanted to find a private owner aircraft, about 500 to 600 hours, with the basic Garmin package. One of my ...

General Aviation Pilot Protection Act.

Forum members, I know it’s not specifically Diamond related, it’s a much larger issue that will affect every Diamond driver out there. The EAA has a really efficient way to express your support for the legislation. If you feel inclined to support it please express your opinion. http://govt.eaa.org/1...

I-Pad Mini or regular?

I am looking at an I-pad for cockpit use. Any suggestions as to which you like better in the plane, the mini or regular size?

Thanks,

Tom

AOA indicators, any experiences out there.

I see the FAA is making the AOA indicator much easier to approve. Aside from the various feelings about their usefulness, has anyone installed one or had an experience with the ones presently on the market? http://www.aopa.org/News-and-Video/All-News/2014/February/06/aoa-policy.aspx?WT.mc_sect=tec&a...

Texas Diamond Service Centers

I would be interested if anyone has had a personal experience with any of the Diamond service centers in Texas and would recommend a particular one for a pre-purchase inspection. Also, if you have a recommendation on an A & P not at a service center that has done a good job servicing your Diamon...

Savvy aircraft maintenance

Anyone have any experience with this service? I was looking at a used DA-40 that had been managed by them. What concerned me was A&P recommended service items during the annual that they declined to approve. The logs gave the impression that there was deferred maintenance that should have been d...
