Re: Honest Opinion Request
Personally, I would buy the newest DA42-VI that you can manage. I have never seen any data that suggests that "old" Austro engines are better than "new" Austro engines. Aircraft continuously improve and by locking yourself into an older model you are isolating yourself from the b...

Re: Oil leak ?
Have you completed this - RSB-E4-040 HPP oil leakage.pdf
I had a small oil leak from my left engine but this RSB fixed it. Other than that I never see any oil on the aircraft.
I get the odd drip on the hangar floor from the scupper drain but only very occasionally and only a tiny amount of oil.

Should put them in touch with Pacific Aerospace, the P-750 XSTOL would be perfect for them

Re: DA62 on order or recently delivered?
Ten hours in the seat is a good stretch, and you found it very comfortable. Stuart didn't use any auxiliary tanks for my delivery, but maybe the geopolitics were a bit more friendly a year ago. Great-looking plane!

Jim is correct - it is what you order and has nothing to do with where it is built.

Re: BestTugs B5 vs B8 for DA62
Hi Curtis - I have a B5 and it is perfect for the DA62. It is what Best Tugs recommended when I purchased it and it doesn't come anywhere the nose. It handles max weight with no trouble at all. Highly recommend this tug. Cheers Mark

Re: DA62 Options Selection
I have the pre-heaters. Even on a cold day, the engines don't use the glow plugs to start. It still takes quite a while for the temperatures to get into the green range. It only saves a few minutes overall, but it is probably better for the engine.
