So far, it’s not been made clear if the increases would apply to Jet-A powered reciprocating engines, and/or turboprops.

Re: Into my first annual with my 62….impressions
Man, that’s frustrating.
I’m taking my DA62 to FTW for its annual and 300 hr service on 1/29. My squawk list is short and the 300 hour kits are in hand. I’ll let you know how long the service takes; we do have to wait for the SB oil analyses to return results, which adds a week or so.

Re: Diamond Quality
I have owned two DA62s, both of which have had pesky problems that local shops can’t deal with. A prop governor failed on the new one (infant mortality); both have had leaky fuel quick drains (I don’t consider that a knock on Diamond, since they are very common parts). The new one had a crossfeed l...

Re: DA62 covered in foam
This seems to happen with some frequency. Guidance on the requirements for foam fire suppression have been updated since data show that inadvertent releases of foam have caused more damage than the proper release of foam has prevented. Plus, chemicals in the foam are known to cause cancer. https://w...

Re: Delivery Delayed by 1 year
Serial 62.252 with tail number N123AA was delivered on 10/24/2023. Original order date was July 2021. I ordered my 62, C.041, in January 2021. It was delivered in May 2022, an eight month slip to the right. What’s caused the waiting time (and the average ‘slip to the right’ time) to increase so muc...

Re: Bose A30 - Unwanted Noise
An interesting thing I have found. If I turn off the Electric Master switch after a flight, The standby instruments will turn off after 30 seconds as designed. However, if I leave my iPad plugged into the USB-C outlet, the standby instrument will not shut down - I must do it manually. When I next t...

Re: DA62 oil consumption
My 62 now has 240hr TT. My experience has been that the left engine burns 1-2 liters per 100hr, and the right engine burns significantly less than 1 liter per 100hr. I typically cruise at 82%-85% Load in the low-to-mid teens.

My DA62 (N-registered, Canadian-built, ordered Jan 2021, delivered May 2022) did not come with any headsets.

Re: To Denali, VFR On Top
Steve, thanks for sharing the stunning video! I enjoyed watching it. I'm curious how you mounted the 360 camera. What kind of attachment did you use? Thanks, I enjoyed making it. I use the NFlightCam exterior ball mount. You bolt a machined spud to the airframe using one of the nut plates that atta...
