Re: 404 on "New Posts" Link

When selecting New Posts or Unread Posts I was getting a 404 error on only one computer, a new PC running Windows 11. My iPads were fine. The error is now gone. Selecting New Posts or Unread Posts works normally. Thanks!

Oil Pressure.png
The oil pressure is lower than before engine surgery and lower than the other engine, however, it still seems comfortably within the middle of the green range in cruise. It follows the same pattern as the other engine, just lower. The oil pressure dips into the red zone only ...

Re: Piston MSB affecting newer engines - MSB-E4-043

I already got a Cirrus sales rep’s number on my phone.

Frankly, the symptoms point very clearly to bearing clearances being out of tolerance after the piston replacement, which would explain the internal oil pressure loss.
And...i dont know, its already 4th or 5th malfunction on the same engine ...

Re: Piston MSB affecting newer engines - MSB-E4-043

Dumb question here about fuel leaks. Since jet fuel evaporates fairly quickly and doesn’t leave a blue trace, where do you notice the leak, especially when the cowling is on? Dripping on the ground or just the smell?

Re: DA 40 XLS 2008 SEAT COVERS

I understand later generations have access panels in the seat pan. Anyway, I got it done. Here are some pictures:

The only gotcha, got me, was the Nylock nut and washer holding the end of the seat belt on the copilot side. There is very ...

Re: DA 40 XLS 2008 SEAT COVERS

Requesting advice how on to replace the rear seat cover, bottom portion, in my 2020 DA42. Same style as in a DA 40. The old one got stained during maintenance.

The center portion of the rear seatbelts go through a slit in the leather seat cover and then disappear through a narrow channel in the ...

Re: Clarity Aloft headset one ear audio

If other headsets are working in the same sockets it sounds like a defective headset. My 13 year old (!) Clarity Aloft headset was starting to not work as well, dropping sound in one ear. Clarity had me send it in. They fixed it for $40.

Man, you lost the flight path angle cue? The little green pipper/circle showing which direction the plane is going?

Not sure but I think they are two different things. The floating green pipper on synthetic vision is called the Flight Path Marker. It is still there thank goodness.
