Re: DA20 pre-buy

Derek:
After careful consideration I cannot convince myself DA20 would be a good option for me. I would enjoy flying it, but I want more range/luggage capacity.

DA20 pre-buy

Looking/thinking about DA20. Anyone in Philadelphia area to do a pre-buy inspection?

I had all my interior seats + sides and roof plates done for 3k€ by an old lady specialist in car upholstery.

Arnaud.
Wouldn't that require new weight and balance?

Re: DA-20 prices high, no inventory????

I asked a similar question a while back about DA40s. I think it's all supply and demand -- I saw one D20 for CAD ~150K/USD $113K, but the latest DA20 bunch on controller (all seem form the same seller) baffles me.

Re: What should Colin's next plane be?

Really? That's bearable, quick initial research pointed at ~$200K. $20k-$30k is very comparable with piston overhaul.

And at 1800 hours it is either HSI or a decent used DA40, correct?

Re: The 1,000 Pound 1,000 Mile Challenge

I have not run the numbers, but I suspect any airliner can do better in gallons per pound per mile. Also I think that a cargo ship can do even betterer.

Re: The G1000 project - "The next step"

I believe they focus now on the huge trainer market. The private GA owner is no business case anymore for diamond. Well, then this begs a question for me: what are my options for the first airplane? Except Cessna 172. I'd like 4 passengers , but can live with 2, 500-600nm range and low (comparative...
