Re: DA62 Horizontal stabilizer AD

I am 62.028, an affected S/N. Mechanic has just checked. We are all good without adjustment.
No wonder our tail hasn't fallen off in the last 7 years🙄

Re: Oil leak ?

DA62 leaks much less oil than any other plane I have had! Only had a minor problem with one oil sump sensor. new seal, fixed in 5 minutes.

Re: MSB-E4-042 - Crankshaft-bearing cap screws replacement

Maybe. I have an extra set of bolts on an old core with 900 hours to run. My mechanic said they couldn’t be used since they had been torqued once already. So now still waiting for bolts which are finally enroute.

Re: Switching to Dual Cue FD in G1000

Found online - haven't checked my actual (Legacy) G1000 in the aircraft : >Select AUX - System Setup Page on the MFD >Activate the cursor then select > Format Active in the Flight Director Box (bottom of page) >Use small FMS knob to select either "Single Cue" or "X-Pointer".

Re: DA62 door strap

Everytime I visit the maintenace shop when our plane is in for a hundred, I find the mechanic has tied ropes on the door handle just like your strap!
He doesn't feel like budging or streching to close the door when doing engine runs etc 🤣

PS Steve, Ice Station Zebra was a great movie!

Re: DA62 Seat Covers

I haven't done any long flights yet but initial impression is that they are comfortable to sit on. Pilot seats are two piece - one piece for the little movable flap on the front of the seat and the rest is one piece. It attaches by a full width Velcro strap at the rear base of the seat. The part cov...
