Re: Where to Next?! Planting the Seed for the Next Tour

Another great experience in Canada is going heli-hiking with CMH. https://www.cmhsummer.com/?webSyncID=d4900142-8d13-bae0-1aba-0d40a7ca83a8&sessionGUID=4ccb8c03-2de8-0a3b-323d-cd3b16ce9bea&_gl=1*8kgbrq*_ga*NjMxOTcxNTg3LjE2MTQyNjg3OTE.*_ga_P7HMQW8YGY*MTYxNDI2ODc5MS4xLjAuMTYxNDI2ODc5MS4w&_...

Re: Where to Next?! Planting the Seed for the Next Tour

Wayne, As always loved your video, but I was hoping to hear more about what you and your friends may have decided upon. While I have only done a multi-week road trip through Nova Scotia I can’t say enough great things about the experience. I have a full itinerary of lodging, hiking, and the many gre...

Re: Refinishing steps

Peter, I too am in the same boat with my steps on my 2002 D40.

Has anyone had any experience having a 3rd party chrome their Diamond’s steps?

Re: 2008 DA40D Purchase Advice

Patrick,

If you have the 6 pack DA40, I think one “gotcha” you should watch out for is what has been the reliability of its KAP-140 auto-pilot.

Re: Avionics upgrade

Chip, as a fellow 2002 owner - I agree with everyone’s suggestions. I think the two best upgrades for me have been the PowerFlow (For the enhanced performance and lower CHTs) and the FlightStream 210. Using the 210, I love being able to change my flight plans on the go using my iPad and avoid all of...

Thanks Gary, you asked the very question I had around recording the ForeFlight screen. And Thank You Wayne for helping us both with that tech tip.

Re: Mid Atlantic Prop Balance

Bryan, between the new prop and the old prop there was a huge difference. The new prop was so quiet I thought my noise cancelling headset was on (something I don’t turn on until after I am in cruise). But considering how close my prop was already in balance I did not feel any noticeable change after...

Mid Atlantic Prop Balance

An independent PIREP: A few hours ago, I had a new MT prop installed on my 2002 DA40. Oddly, I was having problems finding a shop that has the tools and training to dynamically balance the prop near me (based at KLOM, near Philadelphia). I even had troubles trying to get the shop that had sold me th...
