Re: Alternator issue?

Thank you very much Rich, I will check the connections shortly first, then à a change of the VR is clever. Last question: why low voltage alarm was blinking when it’s more « high voltage ». And also why amp meter was fluctuating ? Alternator alarm was also blinking, why if it’s more a matter of VR ?...

Re: Alternator issue?

Is it generic or diamond special component ?
Do you know if it’s an expensive one?

How can I be sure that it is the faulty component ?
Do you think that what I described can result of also an alternator issue ?

Sorry for all that question, but I have no knowledge on this !

Thanks

Re: Alternator issue?

Can the excessive voltage damage something ?
Can it be the reason for « low voltage » and « alternator » alarm? Also can it be the reason for the parasites?

If the connectors and wiring are ok, what has to be replaced ?

Thanks again Rich!

Re: CO Detection in cockpit

If it's the original CO detector, it may just need to be replaced. We had to replace one on our 2007 DA40XL after a few years when it started behaving like you describe, although ours seemed to be correlated with high temps. Hopefully it's just a loose connection from the recent service. Are you ta...

Re: CO Detection in cockpit

Same alarm on sentry with same level of CO.
Same behavior of the sticky shitty co detector.

After inspection one riser was cracked...

Sentry is very accurate.

Re: Squeezed out an extra knot of TAS

Arnaud - You have to use the local altimeter setting and you might have to use the InHG reading instead of the MB reading on your altimeter for the 430. Hi Bernie, If I fly level I set 1013 and the read altitude 8000 ft for FL080? If I fly in altitude, I set QNH and read altitude? Right ? For the b...
