Re: RAM BALL MOUNTS
I think I have that part since I can see the screws in the A Pillar. But, we will see if the screws that come with are sufficient. 2screws.jpg They might not be for the RAM mounts. My a/c came with the same screws but when I removed them I found out they were plastic and didn't have the nut plate b...

Re: Gaming the ATC route computer
I don't make the call to pick up my clearance until my runup is completed and I'm ready to go. I program my filed plan into the G1000 prior to calling but am prepared to take a couple of extra minutes to revise it if I get something different. The clearance void time is usually sufficient for getti...

Re: A Taste of Autopilot on Return from Kern Valley
\What training sequence would you use… radio first, then hand flying in cruise, then autopilot? What about preparation for landing? Your thoughts? My wife just did a pinch hitter course this past weekend. The emphasis focused on first verifying that the autopilot was on, then putting it in heading ...

Re: DA62/42-VI dry lease?
but you'll need to find a flight school or other CFI to train towards getting a rating, obtain a Flight Review, IPC, etc. And don't forget the DPE. When I looked into this a couple of years ago that was the limiting factor. There weren't too many CFI's with the necessary time in a 62, but there wer...

Re: GWX70 Weather Radar
But whatabout the products? Are there any meaningful differences with these two, 70 & 75, in GA flying? I know more colors yes, but perhaps there is someone here who has used both products. One thing that is different between the two. The 75 automatically goes into standby mode the moment your ...

Re: A flight to nowhere?
In other words, ATC (centers and TRACONS) seem to have been able to reduce their staffing needs by creating a smaller number of larger sectors. A couple of weeks ago I was flying NE of Denver and on with center and got a laugh out of this exchange: SKYWEST: Skywest 1234 with you on 122.35. Good gri...

Re: Mx and Flying during stay home order times
Hi fellow DAN members, with the stay home order several states have imposed, what are you'll's opinions regarding just flying around home airport for pleasure and picking and dropping of aircraft for necessary mx? Our mx shop is continuing to operate business as usual right now. Also, I'm trying to...

Recommendations on where to get an annual
Hello fellow DA62 owners:
Any recommendations on where to get an annual done? I was going to take my aircraft back to London but it looks like crossing the border may be a bit problematic these days. I'm located in the midwest, so looking for something in that area.
Thanks,
Ron
