Re: Canada ADS-B Diversity Requirement

Charles wrote: Mon Apr 22, 2024 3:21 pm So between now and 2028, you can fly anywhere below 12500 ft.
I wonder how they'll enforce that. I file an IFR plan from Maine to Michigan at 14,000', will my clearance be 12,000'? Or maybe Canadian ATC will instruct me to descend?

Thanks for the thorough reply and keeping us up to date.

Re: Canada ADS-B Diversity Requirement

What's the current situation? Can planes with a GTX345R and the antenna configurations that Diamond has been shipping for the last five years, fly in Canada or not?

Does this apply to just landing in Canada, or also overflying Canada?

Re: Delivery?

Premier. WRT to where and when, you need to ask Premier. WRT to the process, per Paul's suggestions, you should take control of the process. You do not want to be a passive participant. I'm not saying that Premier won't do everything they can to make you happy, but that you've just spent $550 - $60...

Re: Where to get dongle

I am using a DSC in Calgary, Alberta. My use is restricted too to downloading data (which I haven’t done yet) and an ECU reset. I am meeting the DAI next week as part of the Diamond Pilots Association and will be inquiring about the USB connector that is due to replaced the 9 pin connectors. How is...

Re: Gascolator inspection

I ordered these: https://wingviewtint.com/products/fuel-cap-covers And then my plane came with a pair as well. There's a kind of sticky-ish black coating on the underside. DO NOT allow the covers to touch underside to underside. The black stuff sticks to the other black stuff and then rips it apart ...

steve_falconer wrote: Thu Apr 18, 2024 4:59 am Thanks Russ. I’ll give it a try next time. So with the KAP140 would that mean changing to VS mode at 0 fps and setting the altitude hold way off of current altitude to prevent recapturing an altitude with arm off?
Sorry, I assumed GFC700. Someone who knows the KAP140 will need to respond.

Re: I-70 Across Continental Divide

Has anyone flown further south from Pueblo, along US50 across Monarch pass then Gunnison, Montrose, Grand Junction? Monarch pass is 11,300. Yes, many times: it’s a beautiful part of the state. It all depends on the weather, particularly the winds aloft and, of course, the cloud conditions. Steve, E...
