Re: New DA42-VI Config // Built in Oxygen or concentrator

My primary question is about oxygen. Besides that, any advice on a new order is appreciated! Congrats on the new 42! I am in Melbourne, Australia and don't need the AC apart from about 6 days a year for about 15 mins on the ground. I previously had AC in a Cirrus and it was nowhere near as efficien...

Re: Most Hours in a DA-62

One member here had a Cirrus with many mechanical issues and switched to a DA42. My experience was more typical with overall good reliability. It was nice to have three service centers within a hundred miles. I may be that member. I have had a 20 and a 22T and yes the 22T was plagued with issues, n...

Re: DA40NG - NXi Phase 2 database problems

Just to update, I did put the checklists on the SD card for the bottom PFD slot, booted up and hey presto. Nothing. Start up screen still says Checklist file N/A, and on entry, the checklist button is still greyed out. Might it need a software tweak for it to recognise it and upload it? Seems frustr...

Re: DA40NG - NXi Phase 2 database problems

So will these work in a 42 VI with NXi phase 1, if we load them onto the bottom MFD card?
Thanks

Short Field Take Off

Had to take off from a shorter runway than usual with a cross wind, so to be sure I did the SFTO procedure and all went well with heaps to spare, however I noticed that the AFM procedure on 4A-35 doesn't actually have any reference to when to put the flaps up (or indeed have any reference to them at...

Re: G1000NXi - The Missing Features

Thanks for sharing this. I sometimes forget why I picked up DA42 :) but it doesn't mean that DAI shouldn't be much much better in supporting existing customers than they're now. Emir I completely agree with you. That was one of the main points I tried to make to Amila and Scott when I met with them...

Re: G1000NXi - The Missing Features

Looking on the COPA forum, I do not see any degree of these issues being mentioned. I guess the ultimate acid test will be when the DA50 is launched. How many Cirrus owners looking to upgrade or go to something newer will convert to Diamond? Andrew I did. I came to Diamond 42-VI via a 22T. I do con...

Re: Garmin Autoland

So, has anyone with contacts in the factory or those who speak to Scott asked the question: is it coming to a Diamond aircraft near you soon? I have asked on their Instagram account so if I get a response will let you all know. David I also asked Amila Spiegel, Director Sales and Marketing, who rep...

Re: The G1000 project - "The next step"

I did meet someone in the US once who thought Australia was Austria, and he complemented me on my excellent English skills... Sometimes I better understand Austrians speaking English than Australians :D :D Emir And to confuse the issue I am actually a Scot who lives in Australia. All my Austr...
