Re: Deice low pressure light

From 4.A.6.1 of the DA42NG Manual Supplement - Ice Protection System: NOTE : The ANNUN-TEST mode activates the DEICE LVL LO caution immediately if the de-ice fluid quantity is low and the DEIC PRE...

Re: Inflight Cell Phone Use

My question was never whether or not folks breaking the law routinely get away with doing so. It is simply whether or not the law still applies. Separately, getting busted breaking one law does not prove that one did not break another. Your tale was of an FAA violation. That the FCC was not involved...

Re: Inflight Cell Phone Use

I have no problem with pilots exercising their emergency authority to use whatever means necessary to safely land their aircraft, to include violating FCC regulations if no other means exist. Assuming this intrepid King Air aviator was in hard IMC and bound by lost comm rules to continue on, fine. A...

Re: Inflight Cell Phone Use

A recently published directive regarding obtaining clearances from ATC for departures from uncontrolled fields suggests having the ability to use your cell with the engine running... Correct. This is why the law states that while on the ground, FAA rules govern. My understanding from my Bell Labs f...
