Re: Drink holder -- what works?

Anyone have an updated Amazon link for a Zojirushi mug that will work? The one Benjamin linked unfortunately is not showing available to me. I've been burned once with a bottle that didn't fit, so would like to avoid a second return!

Re: Piston AD replacement at MyFlight X04

I asked Chris your questions.. he said:

1.5 weeks is per engine. It’s about 2-3 days to pull the engine. 1-2 days to do the pistons and then 2-4 days to install.

Depending on how many techs I have on the job is another determining factor. (More guys faster turnaround)

Whale watching in Salt Cay, Turks and Caicos

We just got back from an incredible trip to MBSY - Salt Cay, Turks and Caicos. We timed it perfectly with the humpback whale migration and had an awesome time: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/8LR0SHk_9jA

Piston AD replacement at MyFlight X04

Good news - revised pistons are coming in stock very shortly! I just talked with Chris Hilton at MyFlight (MX facility at X04, training location at KORL), and he told me that we can expect to have them available at the end of April / beginning of May.

MyFlight has already been replacing some ...

Re: SW Florida-any DA40's?

I highly recommend you get in touch with MyFlight (based out of KORL and X04). They run a flight school and have an excellent maintenance shop. They would definitely be able to give you a flight in a DA40/42/62.

I would call up Mouser and see if there is a successor part: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Littelfuse/75705-01?qs=HuCFcgRyUKg3bnZCY9HQww%3D%3D

Re: Cost of a new AE300

The very rough cost I've heard (in the US) is US$80k installed per engine. Just a ballpark, absolutely get some quotes from a few shops to confirm.

Re: Which engine would you buy?

@Keith - From my conversations with SCs, I expect a terminating action for the pistons to be implemented by March/April. Not too far, just 2 months away. A hassle in the short term, but no reason for a would-be buyer to change their purchasing decision.
