Re: I will fly a DA62 tomorrow!

Had my demo flight in the DA62 canceled today at KBDR due to maintenance issues.... Not sure it made it in town today from it's last stop.... It's on tour and not sure when it's back in the area. Would like to consider a DA62 but leaning toward a Conquest II Turbo prop pressurized for half the purch...

Re: Alternator warning alarm coming on intermittently

Can you see the load on the battery when the alternator is showing failure? I had the sensor that feeds the G1000 that is on a fragile piece of metal break. I had an "X"'ed out alternator and really nothing was wrong with it. Turned out to be the mounting bracket the sensor is held with. N...

Re: Advertising

Hello Kai, I donate a couple times a year and saw this thread and the link is no longer where I can find it. I'd support/suggest placing the Donation link back up. If you are keeping the ads then take the donation link down after the costs are all covered. This forum as you know I love, support, and...

Re: #3 EGT Lagging others trouble shooting.

Thank you Steve! Knowing that it does install completely helps me understand more. I'll check the wiring bundle near the oil filter and the entire loop.

Appreciate the help!

#3 EGT Lagging others trouble shooting.

I'm working with my new A&P here in CT on an EGT issue. I'll bullet point what I see, have done, and open to suggestions. I'm thinking the EGT probe port hole needs to be cleaned, but not sure how, or if after you read through what I'm seeing you think differently. - On run-up #3 EGT lags behind...

Re: Hard to start my engine

Had to add my .02. Engine starts also are related to your magneto to start the engine - I forget which one is primary or the exact name... That should not be temp base though.... Have you changed engine oil to a thicker type? 5w50 vs W100 for example in cold conditions does impact the start. The hig...

16" DA42 Model

Thought some may be interested. I have a few DA40's and this is one of the first DA42's I've seen.

Re: Boost Pump

I installed the I believe "C" version of the dukes almost 800 hours ago. Almost double the time I got out of my B Series. I've heard only good things about the Weldon pump used in many other aircraft. The issue I was told with the Dukes A/B series was with the brushes and the fact unlike t...

Re: G1000 Backlight question....

Thanks Guys, I'll take a look in the morning and confirm both are set to 100% and look similar. If it wasn't a night flight I can't say I would have really noticed.

G1000 Backlight question....

My PFD is dimmer then the MFD. Settings are all the way up on both (in the G1000 internal settings). How big of a deal is changing the backlight bulb(s) on a G1000 screen?

Thanks!
