Re: Towing DA62

Russ, Call Brackett Aircraft at 928-757-4005. You need the T700 Adapters for the DA62. If you have Beringer Wheels and Brakes you will need the adapters to be bored out in the middle to work correctly, just let them know that. The Beringer nose wheel has a bolt thru the center that sticks out furthe...

Re: New member introduction & takeaways

Airwolf,

On your DA40NG quote mentioned, what is the Engine Import Fee all about? Was that quoted to you by a dealer as I haven't seen or heard that before.

Re: What came with your plane

If you look at the picture of the headsets in Bryce's post, the language underneath states availability by region. The Headsets are only included with Diamond Austria deliveries, Diamond Canada does not include the headsets with a purchase.

It can be very confusing.

Re: Front landing gear fairing

The pictured nose strut fairing is not standard equipment on the DA40NG in the US or is it offered as an option on the price sheets. I have not seen it before and it looks like it would create more drag then the standard nose strut.

Re: Real Useful Load #s

Per the factory, No, NXi Phase III will not be required to get the GWX 75 approved. Phase III will be needed to upgrade the GWX 75 to the GWX 8000.

Re: 2023 Price List DA40NG

The option of extended warranty was added to the price sheets with the January 2022 price increase. The extended warranties are offered through Diamond, not Piston Power.

Re: My plane is now in North America!

They do not have to add additional fuel tanks to the aircraft to fly it over from Austria, the standard equipped fuel tanks that carry 86 gallons are enough.

Unless something has changed, running the 1.7L Thielert engines past 1000 hrs and getting parts is not possible. I was told that Continental will not do a Hold Harmless Letter nor are they making new parts for 1.7L engines.

Re: CD 135 with clutch replacement options

Emir, When did you have your engines done? It is more than I paid when I had mine done in 2015. I was told the prices for the engines have been going up almost every year.

The current engines prices alone are about $47k for CD-135 and 74K for CD-155 from Continental.

Re: CD 135 with clutch replacement options

The estimate to replace current engines with New CD-135 or CD-155 engines is about: CD-135: $137,000 - This includes $20,000 core charge (gets refunded when old engines returned) and labor. CD-155: $231,000 - This includes $20,000 core charge (gets refunded when old engines returned), New Scimitar P...
