Thanks Lance I'll buy the book.

Regarding the whole GAMI and LOP situation, I have made myself an opinion: I believe that most of this heated debate is not really applicable to our IO-360, for the following reasons:

- IO-360 are normally aspirated ( so the procedure described in the GAMI link becomes pointless we cannot increase MP beyond WOT!)
- Only 4 cylinders means much less FF balancing problems and the factory seems to have done the job OK.
- And yet 4 cylinders are less tolerant to LOP than 4 (they run rough much sooner) just because there's only 4 of them
- Our engines are much more robust than the turbo-dinosaurs

I usually run my engine at peak EGT in cruise and find it to be a very good compromise - good power, good fuel flow and reasonable temps. If/whenever it reaches TBO I will have proven my point: ROP = wasted fuel and fouled plugs.

Another 1300 hours to go! For now the engine has as-new compressions and runs very smooth with little oil consumption. Touch wood...
