Re: Coopers Aircraft-- Diamond DA40 seat refurbishing
Sorry, while I was trying to edit my previous post, you already replied. I should say that I didn't remember right and it was 2.850€, currently 3800$, for all 4 seats. I brought the seats there myself. http://polsterei-buddelmeyer.de/polsterei From the amount of leather and work involved, this is a highly priced job.eHotAir wrote:Kai,
For all four seats?
Actually, any experienced upholsterer can do the job as well as someone who is specialized in aircraft seats. Every upholstery job is a new custom project and the outcome depends more on the skills of the craftsman than on the experience the company has with Diamond aircraft seats.
Choose the leather yourself by googling for "aviation leather" and ask your upholsterer to order the amounts he needs. Most probably he gets quite a good discount as a professional.

I just saw my new front seats. I went with Coopers in England. I'm having my entire interior redone, not just the four seats. I'm doing carpet, sidewalls, the instrument hood wrapped in leather. It's being shipped back home on Monday. I should be installing a week from today. I will post more photos then.

Beautiful!
Maybe they could also do a matching wrapping for the sticks?
Couldn't such a nice job be of interest to DAI?

That looks very nice. I notice they also beefed up the padding in the seat area. That was desparetly needed for long trips. If they used the oragon aero foam it would be quite comfy.
Looks like seats from an itialian sports car.

Re: Coopers Aircraft-- Diamond DA40 seat refurbishing
It's been very close to 3 weeks since I sent my interior to Coopers Aircraft in the United Kingdom. It arrived back today after getting hung up in DHL customs for four days. It was a DHL mistake, dang it, and I missed my opportunity to install it back into my airplane over the weekend. I'm sill hoping to fly to OshKosh on Thursday for the weekend. I'll post photos of the finished product. In a word, the new interior is... "Stunning". I simply cannot believe what a great job Jason Cooper does on our DA40 seats.
