Master Switch for Aspen PFD
Has anyone considered or tried installing a master switch for the Aspen 1000 PFD? If so what sort of switch did you use. I am considering using a circuit breaker switch and the Tyco brand. Any thoughts? Why? To remove spiking/low voltage issues during engine start.

Re: Master Switch for Aspen PFD
I have a DA40 with the Aspen. I thought it was a requirement to have the switch. I have the Tyco breaker switch in mine and it works great.
Check the Aspen install manual. I am pretty sure it is a requirement to have an EFIS MASTER switch.

Re: Master Switch for Aspen PFD
Lance Murray, thank you for your reply. Aspen have a recommendation only. The Aspen in my aircraft, I believe, was factory installed and did not come with a master. I think it is a good idea.
I have been looking at installing a Tyco breaker switch and have one on order. I don't know if the fact that the Tyco breaker is not TSO is a problem.
Again, thank you.
