Ram Mount Sun Visor
Ram has an interesting new suction mount visor. They are affordable and scheduled for shipment early August. They have three different tints, I ordered 1 of the 100% and 1 of the 50%. They might be an interesting solution. I attached their link.

Re: Ram Mount Sun Visor
I was literally JUST looking at that yesterday, after a flight in which I moved my Stratus ram mount onto the windshield to block a little bit of sun. I think they'll be fantastic for our planes!

Re: Ram Mount Sun Visor
I'll wait for a PiRep. I have a dozen $5 suction-cup screens that block 40% and kill the solar gain pretty well. $60 is a little pricey for something that looks like it might be a pain to store out of the wait and only blocks a letter-sized sheet of the plexi. But I might be missing something about it.

Re: Ram Mount Sun Visor
The last set of shades we bought were from Baby's R Us. We spent $19 on 2 shades that pull down with four suction cups. They worked okay.
I like this design however. One suction cup looks very easy to move around the window. It's better than dealing with four suction cups on a shade. I just ordered one. I will post again with my own PIREP

and a couple of these

We've used them for several years and they work just great. At $7 and $4 each you can't go wrong. You will see complaints that they don't stick, but like any static cling device you just have to rub it a few times after placing it on the window and they stick beautifully. We've used them both in the cold winter (and it does get cold in Minnesota) as well as during the hot summer (it was >90F in Fairbanks last summer). I keep them in the pocket behind the seats (in their envelopes) so I can just reach back for them when needed. As opposed to sun visors, you can place them exactly where needed and move them around if required. Finally, they don't leave that ugly circle on the plexiglass that you get from the suction cups.

Re: Ram Mount Sun Visor
While at Sun N Fun I picked up a couple of these mesh Rosen suction-cup visors for $15:

They fold up nicely into a small bag. You can even double them up to make them more opaque, with 2 visors sharing the same 2 suction cups. The Rosen visors also complement Diamond's built-in flip down visors (for those of us lucky enough to have them), blocking sun from the side when flying long east-west x-country flights.

Re: Ram Mount Sun Visor
OUT OF STOCK or it hasn't been produced yet. I have no idea. I ordered 2 weeks ago. Not a word from them until I checked my order status. . It simply says "out of stock"
